Located in the northwest corner of Rear Lake and built in the late period of Kangxi’s reign, Apricot-Flower Villa is one of the 40 sceneries of Yuanmingyuan. It is a level field with water around. Apricot-Flower Villa is vast and simple, with countryside landscape.
Apricot-Flower Villa was a place for emperors and their sons to experience farmers’ life, and also a place for emperors to educate their sons the common sense of agriculture.
